Red Sea Gateway Terminal has signed a definitive agreement with CMA Terminals Holding to build and operate Terminal 4 at Jeddah Islamic Port

SISCO Holding, announces that one of its Portfolio Companies, Red Sea Gateway Terminal, has signed a definitive agreement with CMA Terminals Holding to build and operate Terminal 4 at Jeddah Islamic Port

Jeddah, Saudi Arabia – August 2026: Further to its previous announcement regarding the signing of the Term Sheet between Red Sea Gateway Terminal (RSGT) and CMA CGM, Sustained Infrastructure Holding Company ("SISCO Holding") is pleased to announce RSGT, has now signed a definitive agreement with CMA Terminals Holding (CMATH), a subsidiary of the CMA CGM Group, for the joint development and operation of a new terminal in Jeddah Islamic Port in which CMATH will own a 40% stake and the remaining 60% will be owned by RSGT. The new entity will be fully consolidated under RSGT.

This strategic partnership represents one of the largest foreign direct investments in Saudi Arabia's maritime sector to date and marks another significant milestone in advancing the Kingdom's National Transport and Logistics Strategy and Vision 2030 objectives. The project will create a state-of-the-art container terminal with an annual handling capacity of approximately up to 2.6 million TEUs, supported by advanced terminal technologies and 10 new ship-to-shore cranes, further strengthening Jeddah Islamic Port's role as a leading gateway and connecting Asia, Europe and Africa.

The partnership comes at a pivotal stage in RSGT’s development, following strong recent growth in container volumes at Jeddah Islamic Port, and supports its long-term growth strategy while reinforcing its position as Saudi Arabia’s leading container terminal operator. It brings together RSGT's operational excellence and deep local expertise with CMATH's global shipping network, integrated logistics capabilities and international terminal operating experience. Through the joint venture, RSGT will substantially expand capacity to accommodate rising trade volumes, larger vessel classes and growing regional demand, while strengthening its role as the anchor operator at one of the Kingdom's most strategically important ports.

Mr Mauricio Zuazua, Chief Executive Officer of SISCO Holding, said:

“This landmark partnership reflects the leadership of our portfolio companies and reinforces SISCO Holding's commitment to strategic infrastructure that modernizes logistics across the Gulf and creates long-term value for our shareholders. Terminal 4 marks another important step supporting Saudi Arabia's economic transformation, strengthening RSGT's asset base and validating the trust global industry leaders place in our platform. It reflects SISCO Holding's strategy of pairing our subsidiaries' operational strength with international expertise to advance the Kingdom's logistics ambitions under Vision 2030.

The transaction enables RSGT to continue expanding its capacity while reducing its own capital commitment, preserving liquidity and providing greater flexibility to pursue further growth opportunities and enhance shareholder returns.”

Mr Lars Vang Christensen, Group Chief Executive Officer of RSGT, added:

"Today's signing marks a significant milestone in the development of RSGT and Jeddah Islamic Port. The agreement also reflects our long-term commitment to supporting Saudi Arabia's logistics ambitions as well as our service to valuable customers. Through our upcoming partnership with CMA CGM, and with the continued support of the Ministry of Transport and Logistics Services and Mawani, we are delivering a project that will increase our container capacity significantly, enhance RSGT’s competitiveness and create long-term value for the Kingdom”.
